MSA...we have a lot to offer

G'day mates!!

Malaysian Students Association at Macquarie University is back this semester with a lot more to offer to all its members! To start with, with every registration will entitled you free BBQ next Monday. As it's been mentioned in the previous posting, we'll have heaps of food for you guys- including satay. Oh yeah...MSA is popular for its super delicious satay. We call it 'sataylicious'. So don't forget to drop by at MSA stall during O-Week to register!

Every member will be given a MSA card (as displayed). This unique card functioning as discount card for a number of shops at Macquarie Centre. For start, Macquarie Chicken Shop (located at Level 3, near Franklin's) offers $1 off of marinated chicken. Thats groovy eh?? What's more- its HALAL. Don't believe me? Ask them for the certs they have that showing they sell halal chicken. Now, that's what we call as 'moslem by choice, not being a moslem according to the situations'.

Further, the card also applicable for discount at Tandoori Connection at the foodcourt. Every purchase of main meal entitled you a free naan. Imagine eating chicken butter with lamb curry and a free naan. What more could you ask?

Have you ever craving for Nasi Ayam or Mee Goreng Mamak? Guess what? There's a place you can get it, right here in North Ryde! Head over to F&L Gourmet at Level 3 (near Woolworths) Macquarie Centre and you can satisfy your appetite for Malaysian cuisine. As a MSA member, you are entitled for discounted drinks. It'd feel like at home with Mee Goreng Mamak 'extra pedas' and a discounted Nestea Iced Lemon Tea. Isn't that heaven?

There'll be more discounts you can get through MSA. At the moment, we are trying to confirm a few more shops that'll give more offers to MSA members. Guys, u gotta watch this space because there'll be more. Just wait...

Welcome to Semester 1, 2007

G'day mates!!

Hows everything? Realised it or not, the holidays are coming to its end. Hope all of us making the best out of it. Some went back home to Malaysia, some stayed and work, some went for holidays somewhere in Australia. Well, time waits for no man and it is the time to go back to school.

There are so much fun awaiting for us back at uni. The commmittee has been planning alot of activities for MSA. To start with, the O-Week. MSA will has a stall at the Central Courtyard, between Lincoln Building and SAM Building this coming Monday, 26th February till the 1st March. Come and drop by at our stall. The registration for new member is opened and the current members need to re-register.

The next exciting activity is the Welcoming BBQ on the following Monday, 5th March. The BBQ will be held at SAM Building during lunch hour. You wouldn't wanna missed this one because there are lotsa food will be served, including our famous satay. This year, we are making heaps of it so make sure you come with empty stomach and eat as much as you can!

We are trying to make all members familiar with the uni environment. So we are planning to have PhotoHunt on that very Saturday (10th March). The instruction is easy- solve the puzzle, the answer will take you to the place and take picture of you and your friends there. So simple!! And the prizes are fabs!! Don't miss this out!!

As the current committee was elected last year, there are some positions still vacant. We are still short of Financial Manager a.k.a. Tresurer, IT Coordinator, Social Director II and Sport Director II. If you are enthusiastics, hardworking and always strive for the best, we would like you to join us. Come to the Bi-Election on the 12th March at SAM Building and have your voice heard. Becoming a member of the committee is the best way to meet new people and above all, to work with others to make betterment of Malaysian students at Macquarie Uni.

There'll be lotsa fun around at uni. All you need to do is join the crowd and meet new people. Life at uni isn't all about books. "All works make Jack a dull boy." Let's get loud people!! Yeah....
