Oh-Week Baby!

hey you!

Yes YOU!

Are you a new student in MQ? Or just a returning student returning from God-knows where?

You think you're SOOOO COOL??

You think you can give out FREE T-shirts at just the proportion of membership cost??

You think you can organise Xtra-Xtra Awesome activities by your own??

You think you can cook and give out to your members for FREE*??

You think you can organise Better Parties than us??

You think the list stops here?? It continues! We just don't want to brag!

If your answer is NO, then drop by to our booth in O-Week, Sign-up and Let us, the committees, do the work for you!

O-week this year will be from Monday the 25th to Wednesday 27th of February. And remember, it will be down by the lake, not in the courtyard. Don't make me find you lost in the middle of the courtyard, searching for O-week stalls left and right, up and down, with membership fee ready in your hand! Well, of course if the last point is true, I will be glad to help you :D

See you there!

Disclaimer:
1. If this reverse psychology approach doesn't work, pardon my lack of marketing skills.
2. Though our aim is to subsidies as much as we could, sometimes we need a little help from you to ease the burden. Don't worry, when we mean "little", it is practically like free!

Bus Crash No More...

Hi people,

I guess some of you have already know that one of the JPA scholars from UNSW, Lee Nian Ning, had passed away at age 21 in a tragic bus accident near Slim River on the 25 Jan this year. This never-ending tragedy had also claimed the life of two other promising individuals Mohd Zailani, 23, and Pang Boon Eng, 20.

On behalf of the people in Macquarie, I would like to express our utmost symphaty and sincere condolences to the family and friends of the victims.

If you would like to know more on this incident or to sign the petition, visit this website. Lets put an end to this. That's the least we could do.
