MSA Bi-Election

Here's a friendly Reminder for people who are interested in running any position in MSA.

MSA will be having a bi-election to find talented hard-working ppl to serve the club and its members and the empty seats are: IT Director and Social Director. the details of this event are as follow
Venue: McKenzie Room, Level 3(its on the top floor), U@Mq building
Date: Monday(16th of march 2009)
Time: 1pm to 3pm.

we encourage you to come, not just to support your friends if they are running for any position, but also because you are the one whos gonna determine what is the future of MSA(because your vote is very3 important). do i sound extremely serious? i want you to feel the vibes coming. so ur heart will be beating "bi-election" during the weekend.

AND, we will still open the floor for on-the-day nominations. you still have 3 days to think about and decide if you would like to become one of MSA committee members.

MSA Welcoming BBQ Review

HI everyone!

I hope everyone enjoy MSA Welcoming BBQ, our first event of the year.

It was held outside U@MQ building from 12pm to 3pm on Friday, March 6th, 2009.

The whole idea of the bbq was to welcome all of new members and returning members and provide them a good time and place to make new friends and chat with old friends as well.


Just minutes after we started bbq-ing, the queue was getting longer and longer. The sad news was we ran out of food except chicken wings around 2.30pm. Feel bad for the late-comers but what to do MSA's event "makan" is always so popular

Now, let's look at the pictures.


This year's MSA Welcoming BBQ is special. Not only we have chicken wings instead of sausages, we even have sandwiches and fried Mee Hun.

See so many people hanging around chatting with friends. Maybe they are waiting to go for another round of good food.

See MSA so fun even "ah Mo" join our events.
He even wore our MSA member T-shirt so supportive.
(Ah Mo is a Malaysian slang of saying foreigner as in non-Malaysian or western people or Aussie)

I know you are curious about the numbers on our sleeves. They actually mean nothing. They are just there to make us look good.










This is what is left at 3pm.There's no more food left, absolutely nothing. At least, we save some time cleaning.

MAS Welcoming BBQ

Time: This coming Friday, March 6th 2009 From 12pm to 3pm.
Venue: Marxines Courtyard (Next to the U@MQ building where
MSA O-Week booth was located during O-Week)
Cost: Free for members (Of course)

If you haven't renew your membership or you want to sign up as member, just bring along $10 for a 1-year membership. Then you can enjoy the fabulous food too and other fun events too.

What to Bring:
1) Membership card (so that you can eat for free)
2) Empty stomach (so that you can fill your tummy full)
3) Friends (so that all of you can enjoy the fun)
4) $10 (If you want to sign up as member or renew your membership)
