Finished all your assignments and need something to do at the end of the week? Here are some events that can clear your mind off!:-
SUAMS's Deepavali Night
"This year, have an early Deepavali!
Derived from Sanskrit, the name 'Deepavali' aptly translates into 'a garland of lights' – symbolizing the illumination of hope and victory over adversity. The Festival of Lights is an event of enormous significance amongst the Hindu community and will fall on October 28 th this year.
SUAMS would like to echo this festival's theme of rejoicing and renewal by taking the opportunity to celebrate the contribution of our 2006/07 Committee, and usher in the new committee for 2007/08! Deepavali Night will be organized by the new SUAMS 2007/08 committee to kick-start our tenure (of course, with the help of the oldies for this event!), so bring all your committee and friends and join us on the night to show your support!
Date: 19 October 2007 (Week 12, Friday)
Time: 6.30pm – 10.00pm
Venue: Courtyard behind Manning
Cost: $5/person
All food served that night will be HALAL and will include a mix of Indian-Mamak Malaysian-style food.
Get to know the new fresh-faced and fun committee that will be running SUAMS next year! Hope to see you there!
